I’m Sharon, and when I’m in the studio, I’m in my happy place. I paint intuitively, with my emotions, enveloped in the joy of creating. There’s a little blue – my mom’s favorite color, and mine – in each painting, connecting my craft to the loved ones who have passed before me. The images from my dreams and my passion for creating beauty remained through my own debilitating illness, and as I relearned to stand and write, I found myself relearning to paint, too. 

A wordsmith from a young age, I have wrestled with the impact of an incurable disease on my ability to articulate verbally, but I’m standing again – often metaphorically –  articulating perhaps more clearly than ever the complexity of life, through soulful, touching acrylic pieces inspired by this journey of my life, ever enveloped in bright persistent beauty and hope for the blue skies that appear at the end of every storm.
